Across the Sea
The mission of Jesus extends beyond our city and into the nations. Across The Sea is our heart for global mission — praying, sending, supporting, and partnering so that people around the world can hear the good news of Jesus.
We believe the gospel is for all people, in all places. As a church, we want to be part of what God is doing beyond our own community by supporting faithful mission work, encouraging global partners, and helping our church family grow in a vision for the nations.
Nations.
We are not just called to make disciples locally, but globally. After all, Jesus told us to “make disciples of all nations” not just one nation. While we could do many things across many countries, we have a philosophy to choose fewer areas in which we can partner so that we can go deeper with the impact God may empower. We are deeply invested in India and Honduras as a result, and we invite you to join us as we go in the next season of life.
House of Love | India
Since 2010, partners from The Grove have traveled to the foothills of India to join God in the work He is doing through our friend and pastor, Beek. After Christians in Orissa faced intense persecution in 2007 and 2008, Beek opened his home to children who had been orphaned or left vulnerable, establishing The House of Love, which now cares for approximately 40 children. He has also devoted himself to strengthening the local church through church planting and equipping pastors and leaders, while providing ongoing care for widows in the community.
Through our care from afar, we pray for the orphans and Beek’s ministry and support them financially each month to help provide for the children’s basic needs. Through this financial support, we have also helped provide land and equipment to grow food, helping the orphanage become more self-sustaining. The garden has been named “The Grove of Love Garden,” and it provides additional nourishment and food for the orphanage for four to six months out of the year.
When we have the opportunity to travel there, we use our time to develop more self-sustaining strategies, encourage and equip the local persecuted church and pastors, and share lots of dance parties and hugs with the orphans and widows.

Catracho Missions | Honduras
The Grove Church partners with Catracho Missions in Comayagua, Honduras, led by Paul and Tania Steer. Catracho Missions serves children, families, and rural communities through women’s ministry, soccer programs, VBS, job skills training, and ongoing outreach, sharing the hope of Christ while creating opportunities for a different future.
The Steers also mentor and equip young adults through missional training, raising up leaders who will disciple others and multiply throughout their communities. Their vision is to see 25 new churches or communities of faith planted over the next 15 years.
We support Catracho Missions through prayer, financial giving, and regular mission trips, joining our Honduran brothers and sisters in what God is doing in Honduras.

Networks.
Neighborhoods are a great place to start, but they aren’t the only place we are called to be on mission together. While we partner with several networks to help plant churches, we also invite you to engage your regularly visited places and habits as a missionary. It is the main thing Jesus told His disciples to do, and we hope you’ll see the joy in seeing many people find Jesus by your courageous faithfulness.

The Houston Church Planting Network is a network of networks, made up of church planters, future church planters, network and denominational leaders, business leaders, and leaders from existing churches committed to church planting – all who love the city of Houston and want to see new churches planted that proclaim and demonstrate the gospel to every Houstonian.
SAN FELIPE BAPTIST ASSOCIATION
SFBA exists to assist, encourage, and resource churches to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the two Great Commandments (Matthew 22:36-40).
YOUR NATURAL NETWORK
Don’t wait for the local church to start a program. Instead, enlist a few friends to help you reach people where you are already going. Some examples of natural networks are the baseball field, Cross-fit box, regular visits to the same restaurant, etc. Join God on His mission, right where you are.
