6th-12th Grade
Grove Students
We believe God is in the business of working and wooing students to Himself. Our aim is to come alongside what the Spirit is already doing in encouraging and equipping students in the gospel. Our desire is to invite all students to follow Jesus in all of life and empower parents in the home. If we spend time with your student you can expect a resource coming your way to promote family discipleship.
Who It’s For
Grove Students is for middle and high school students who are learning what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. Whether they are new to church, growing in their faith, or looking for a place to belong, students are invited into a community where they can ask questions, build friendships, and be encouraged to walk with Jesus.
Middle School
Students in 6th–8th grade are welcomed into a space where they can ask honest questions, build friendships, and begin taking ownership of their faith.
High School
Students in 9th–12th grade are encouraged to grow deeper in their walk with Jesus, develop biblical convictions, and live with purpose as followers of Christ.
Student Gatherings
TGG’s (Teen Growth Groups)
Every other Wednesday night we offer age appropriate environments for our 6th through 12th graders in homes throughout our city for connection, fun, and community. During this time we journey through books of the Bible in hopes that students will be able to read God’s Word on their own. We long for students to treasure Jesus above all things and seek to apply the gospel in all of life. Each small group is divided up according to grade and gender and have leaders who seek to extend God’s love and care. For more information on these groups and location email Sam, here.
Student Sundays
Once a month we bring all our students together to hear the Word taught, process what they heard with their peers, and seek to live the truth out in real life. On these assigned Sundays (typically the 2nd Sunday of the month) students attend the Gathering like normal with their family then are dismissed before the pastor begins the sermon. This is a great initial step for your student to see what we’re about and get to know other teens their age.
Student Leadership Training
Student Leadership Training (“SLT”) is an opportunity for students aged 15 years (or a sophomore in high school) or older to learn how to study the Bible for themselves, practice long-held spiritual disciplines, and study the Book of John with their peers from skilled adult teachers and self-study. This is a cohort style training that begins at the beginning of each school year and concludes in May.
